W.A.L.T. write a book review.
For a book review contest with $1000 dollars worth of prizes, Room 2 decided to make a book review about Billionaire Boy by David Walliams. Here's the review:
Blasting Billionaire boy
‘Have you ever thought about what it would be like to have a million dollars? Or a billion? Maybe even a
trillion dollars? Meet Joe Spud’.
David Walliams is a bestselling famous author. Billionaire Boy is just one of his many, many famous
books. David Walliams is 49 years old and was born on 20th August 1971 in Merton, London.Tony Ross is the illustrator of many of David Walliams' books. Billionaire Boy is just one of
the books that Tony Ross illustrated.
Billionaire Boy kicks off with a boy named Joe who is a billionaire who doesn’t like his school for rich
children. He moves to the local school that is less rich and more like the average school with two goals
in his mind: make a real friend and hide his billionaire status. He makes a friend named
Bob and then Joe stops being friends with Bob because Joe was paying some bullies to be nice to him.
Joe’s personality is laid back, lazy and a little bit suspecting but then later changes as the
book goes on. Joe is not very athletic and not very fit, fast or strong. I felt awesome about
Joe because he is using his money to help others.
One thing that Mr Spud figured out was a new type of toilet paper which let him and his son
Joe become super rich.
I really enjoyed this book and rated it 4.5 stars. This book is good for all ages, mostly for 8 to 13.
I would definitely recommend this book because it’s fun to read and a reasonable amount of
challenge with lots of pages for you to appreciate. I definitely would show it to my friends.
In conclusion, Billionaire boy is a must read book by an inspiring cool author.
