In my math group we were converting fractions into percentages and here's my questions and answers.

I have an argument for why children should learn a second language in scool and here's why:
I think Children should learn a second language in school because it slows dementia, helps with multitasking and gives you sharper focus.
Being bilingual isn’t as bad as you think. Sure, it’s hard to learn another language but if you do you can have a lot of good things in life that other people won’t have and you can be a really good translator.
My first reason is that it slows dementia. We still need a little bit more research, but it’s shown that being bilingual slows dementia by 5 years. Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, problem-solving and other thinking abilities that are severe enough to interfere with daily life.
Credit to google for the definition.
My second reason is that it helps with multitasking. Most people find multitasking really hard because they aren’t used to doing 2 things at nearly the same time. Don’t worry though! If you’re bilingual it becomes much easier to switch from one thing to another quickly and with more ease than if you only speak one language.
My final reason is that it can give you sharper focus. If you are bilingual you have both languages activated at the same time, monitoring which language is appropriate for which situation. That can give you better attention and sharper focus.
There you have it, that's why it’s important to learn a second language. It slows dementia, helps with multitasking and can give you sharper focus. Thank you for reading and listening to my argument.

W.A.L.T. Create a detailed and descriptive Narrative.
I made a Narrative about Minecraft because I love Minecraft. :)
The Invasion
Fox and his friends were investigating the ruins on top of the hill. “We goin’ in?” Fox asked. Zeb, Alex
and Kalem all nodded. As they were checking it out Zeb found a Portal. “Hey guys, I found
this bedrock portal!” Zeb Called. As the rest of the group came to the portal, they heard a
humming noise. “Let's go in.” Alex said. Then they got sucked into the portal. They woke
up in the most blocky dimension in the world. “Um, are we in Minecraft?” Kalem asked.
Then they heard a rumbling noise, the loudest noise in Minecraft. They saw about 10,000
things charging at them on the horizon.
“ We need to go now, punch a tree, make some basic tools and a boat, we need
to go now!” Fox Exclaimed. They made the boats and tools, so they started running.
They found an ocean and they placed the boats and started rowing away from the
things that were chasing them. As they rowed, Alex thought about what would happen to
them. “I see land!” Alex shouted to his friends. As they rowed towards the land, they saw
a cave and decided to mine for some stone and iron. After they made iron chest plates
and stone tools for everybody, when they exited the cave they realised it was nighttime.
They saw a skeleton aiming an arrow at them and Kalem blocked the arrow. Then Zeb and
Fox slaughtered the skeleton and found a bow. “I’ll take the bow.” Fox said. “Okay.” Alex
sighed. They killed some more mobs and Alex got a bow. They then found a punch 2 and
infinity 1 bow. Fox took that bow and gave the old bow to Zeb. They found a village and
there were 2 blacksmiths. The group found some diamonds and iron tools in the chests.
Fox found this red button and fell down a hole and into this room with maxed out things
of everything. He took the stuff and distributed it to the whole group evenly. They were
OP and ready for battle. They made a base and built a castle where they were ready for
the last stand against the things that have chased them for so long.
They got on the castle wall and saw the things. They realised it was this glitch which
was as dark as midnight. They each had 100 health and did 10 damage per hit. They
killed one in 10 seconds. “We need an army for this, we’re going to fail.” Alex sighed in
defeat. Then a voice behind them said “Well you're lucky you’ve got an army of your
own.” They whipped around and saw these people behind them. “What the heck is
going on?” Kalem asked. “You need help right?” one asked. “Yes, yes, yes and yes.”
Zeb said. “Okay, everybody let’s do this!” the other one yelled. “Let the battle begin.” Fox said
The quartet charged into battle and quickly found their target which was the boss guy. It had
1000 health and it did 30 damage per hit. “Come and get me losers!” The boss guy taunted.
“Come and get us!” Alex yelled back. The guy charged across the battlefield, knocking his own
soldiers out of the way to get to the group of 4. He swung his battleaxe toward them when he
got there. They all swiftly dogged out of the way and counter attacked the boss guy. It was
now at 975 health. It swung the battle axe at Zeb while he was recovering. Fox barely managed
to block the attack on Zeb and Zeb hit it with everyone else. It was at 950 health now. As the
battle raged around them, they found themselves surrounded by the enemy. The boss said,
“Ready… Aim… Fire!” Then there was this thing that came down from the sky. They realised
it was a laser cannon. Alex shot the cannon and got the boss on 200 health along with killing
some of the glitches. But then the cannon broke. The battle continued hastily. Soon the boss
was on 50 health and Fox, Kalem, Alex and Zeb were on half a heart. They all attacked and it
was on 5 health. The thing did it’s final attack which was spinning the axe around and throwing it.
Fox dodged the attack and delivered the final blow. It was over. They finally defeated
the glitch and began to celebrate their victory. The friends healed up and decided it was
time to go back to their world. They filled the path of destruction caused by the glitches.
They made it back to the portal and managed to get back through the portal. The four
friends got back to their houses and decided to make a new world. The group never
went through the portal again… Or did they?

At NBC on the 17th of August in 2021 The Gold Medallist Emma Twigg visited our school. When she got there the Haka group did their Haka that they were practising. After the Haka we sung the national anthem and we got to ask some questions. One of the questions was what does her daily routine look like and Emma Twigg said it was her eating breakfast, rowing, lift weights, and more rowing. I got to touch the gold medal and see both sides.

In NBC we were lucky enough to have people come and put on a show. The Show was called The Boy With Wings, or as I like to call it, Da Boi Wath Wongs. Sorry if you're reading this, people who made the show. The show was about a guy who needed to save his apple trees from dying and he went on a quest to find the treasure which would save his apple trees. What he didn't know was that the water that he was looking for was under a rock in his apple tree orchard. He eventually found out and saved his trees from dying. There was also in between parts of the story a professor who was talking a type of bird called Godwits. I loved the show and thought it was awesome. Have you ever read the book The Boy With Wings?
Here are some pictures from it.
